Special
• A Blackstone Fortress cannot go onto special orders but is assumed to automatically pass all other Leadership tests it is required to make.
• The Blackstone Fortress can move up to 10 cm in any direction in the movement phase: it does not turn like a normal ship.
• It has no crew and so does not add a D6 to its boarding score during a boarding action.
• Super-Mega-Death Shot (not while crippled): after two turns without moving or firing it stays still and fires in the next shooting phase - trace a straight line 90 cm from its stem with the Nova Cannon template. Any ship, friend or foe, whose stem touches the template takes 8 lance shots ignoring shields and similar mechanisms; a ship whose stem touches the centre is destroyed. In Exterminatus, from the low orbit table, the planet is destroyed on a 2+. Up to three Fortresses never further apart than the template's diameter may combine the shot: each extra Fortress adds 90 cm of range and 8 lance shots. While charging, ordnance and escorts touching the area between them are destroyed; a capital ship touching it takes 8 lance shots per charging Fortress (no shields, no Brace), and each Fortress then takes D6 hits, cannot move or shoot next turn and must recharge.
